Research and knowledge are essential elements for development. Many of the serious challenges that Africa faces today, such as high HIV / AIDS prevalence and increased antibiotic resistance, require science-based solutions.

We at VSF want to supplement development cooperation with the scientific approach, provide innovative technical solutions and to help build scientific and technological capacities. Therefore, training and knowledge transfer are especially important at all levels: From training animal owners to the establishment of national centers of excellence.
