November 10th is World Science Day. This day is to remind us of the responsibility that researchers all over the world bear for humanity and the environment. Although it is a human right to benefit from scientific advancements, that right can hardly be claimed, especially in developing countries. Concerning research matters, people in these countries are mostly dependent on foreign initiative. Veterinarians without Borders is aware of this enormous responsibility and, together with the research group "Global Food Safety" of the Vetmeduni Vienna, has been able to reveal a food scandal in East Africa regarding contaminated baby food.
We will give you details on this and further information on food safety and food crime in the next few weeks.
